In 2008, I've had a artist show in London (Stamford), where several of my paintings where displayed.
Here is a leaflet of an exhibition group show in France.
Geneviève is a 'cultural globalist' whose life has been enriched by living in different cultures such as in France, the USA, The Netherlands, Switzerland, Italy, Spain and West Africa.
She graduated at the Greenfield Village/Henry Ford Museum School, Universities in both Michigan, USA and in England, (Ashridge College, Berkhamsted, Herts) and at the Cranbrook Art Academy in Bloomfield Hills, Michigan.
She mixes her own paints made from vegetal oils, organic colour pigments, ochres, and minerals imported from Roussillon in the French Provence, resulting in a very personal style and textures.
Her astonishing natural colours and versatile techniques of nudes, landscapes and abstracts have become her main signature and international trademark. Geneviève lives and works mainly in Amsterdam, Nice and Miami.
The Exhibit "Global Village 2014' opened in Abcoude - The Netherlands on May 17th, 2014. Some of Geneviève's oil paintings were selected along with 60 international artists. (Abcoude is a small picturesque village just south of Amsterdam. Although you can see Amsterdam from this village it has a country-side feel. The location of the exhibition was at the historic Fort belonging to the 42 forts strong "Stelling van Amsterdam", a world heritage site dating 1885).
The oil painting on the right of the picture (Abstract XII 'Sunset') was also chosen for the online gallery of the Gemeentemusuem - Den Haag 2014 Summer Expo "Licht".

How did I reach where I am
This is where I've started - Harry Ford Museum in Michigan.
Since a young age, I was used to live among innovations and inspired by creativity. Art has been constantly present in my life.
My education was really artistic since a young age.
Nobody can remember how the war was like. I had 3 uncles in the war. When I came to Europe I just spoke English, and eventually, I ended up living in 5 new countries, and speaking 5 new languages. We lived in Zurich - and was an extraordinary time of reborn for me and for my new beloved home, Europe.
I was brought here by my ex-husband, and we renovated a canal house in Singel. Then, I had a styling bureau. Then I had a medieval banqueting. Then, I was the first to bring reggae music from Jamaica to Europe. Then, I worked in Africa, in Nigeria (7 years) for an international rubber company.
I grew up speaking 1 languages, and once I went to Europe I had to learn 5 new languages: Spanish, French, Italian, German from Germany, and Dutch.
Right now, I try to enjoy life as much as possible. I paint regularly, I see some friends, and I do my best in my paintings.
Also, I love to spend my time in Nice, France where I can always see and hang out with my friends, and get inspired, and go on walks.
